How do I properly care for my leather bag?
How to care for your leather bag: Tips for vegetable-tanned leather
Our leather bags are made from high-quality, vegetable-tanned cowhide. The natural vegetable tanning process using plant-based tanning agents results in particularly firm and durable leather that develops a unique patina over time.

How to care for your leather bag
To ensure your leather bag stays beautiful for a long time, we recommend impregnating the leather once or twice a year. If using an impregnation spray, the treatment should be repeated approximately every 3–4 months.
You should avoid rain and moisture as much as possible, as vegetable-tanned leather can be more sensitive to water stains. If a stain does occur, you can treat it with a suitable leather care product.
Direct sunlight and strong light can also change the color of the leather over time. We love the natural, darker leather patina that develops as a result. If you want to preserve the original color, store your bag in a dust bag and stuff it with paper or fabric to help it maintain its shape. You should avoid damp rooms.

Why vegetable-tanned leather?
Vegetable tanning uses plant-based tanning agents called tannins. After tanning, the leather is left as natural as possible, giving it its characteristic feel and appearance.
For us, leather is a durable and natural material. The hides are a byproduct of the meat and dairy industry. Instead of discarding these hides unused, they are processed into a high-quality material that can accompany us for many years.
Our love for timeless leather bags and sustainable craftsmanship is no coincidence: We still own leather bags from our grandparents from the 1970s. Decades later, they tell their own story – and it's precisely this longevity and beauty that we desire for our bags too.
