Why we can't get enough of basket bags

When we talk about basket bags, we take a leap back to our childhood. As children, we spent our holidays with our grandparents in Brittany (France) or Spain and were lucky enough to spend our summer holidays by the sea there. Sun, sun, sun, wide sandy beaches, blue sea, cliffs and nature all day long. 
On vacation with our grandmother we went to the small, sleepy town near Valencia, where there was a variety of beautiful handmade baskets. Round baskets, small and large beach chairs, handmade from palm leaves, were piled up in front of the small, fine shops.

To this day the place has hardly changed, except that tourism has brought additional small shops to the place. As babies we only slept in baskets - and that must have triggered something in us, because our love for baskets stays with us to this day. Whether at the market, as a handbag, while traveling or on the beach - basket bags are part of summer. The simple natural baskets also look great and can be used practically as a home accessory.
